Angels & Friends Foundation is leading the charge to help Saskatchewan children with intellectual disabilities have a wish come true. It is also this Foundation that financially supports the Foundation for Angelman Syndrome Therapeutics scientific research for a cure for Angelman Syndrome.

Our Mission

Our mission is to fund wishes to children between three and 17 years of age with an intellectual disability through our "Touched by an Angel" campaign and provide funding to scientific research for finding a cure for Angelman Syndrome.

It is impossible to explain to people what its like to be a parent of a child with an intellectual disability. When my daughter was first diagnosed with Angelman Syndrome, people would tell me how sorry they were. At the time I would say thank you and it would bring me comfort that people cared. Now, if I could turn back time, I would apologize to my daughter every time someone said sorry to me. I’m sorry I never understood what it would be like to raise a child that could teach me more in life then I could ever teach her
